The operators handbook for the project is in two parts:

The Signalling Protocol, describes how the SYSPROC and an external computer talk to each other. It describes a very simple language which is easy to implement on almost any computer. Click HERE for the protocol manual.

The Hardware manual describes the schematics and operation in detail and although it is specific to the unit in the photograph above, it shouldn’t be too difficult to adapt for other situations. Click HERE for the hardware manual.

Support files for the ATV repeater project:

The VCR used in the GB3ZZ repeater (Toshiba DV90) has, like most other VCRs, a toggle action standby button. Press it alternately turns the VCR on then off again. As the controller has no way of knowing it the VCR is in standby mode or not, it has to switch the mains power off and on again to get it into a known state.
